NO IDEA how well it works. Seriously. I know nothing whatsoever about the company or its products. And note that it doesn't actually add CarPlay to the system, it just gives you a video input to show your phone's screen on the display. Knowing nothing whatsoever about CarPlay, I don't know how that compares to "real" built-in CarPlay.

If you opt for the Android replacement screen found on aliexpress and EBay, there is a CarPlay dongle that I have seen work in another S550. The ******* thing in the previous post ... best to search this forum for *******. Lots of promises but no happy customers that I've found.
If you search this forum for Android you will see a lot of information about the possibilities for our cars.
Looks like I cannot even spell the name associated with that video above, for good reason. I would look elsewhere.

I fear that, in reality, this is not going to happen in a way that you will find acceptable. I hope I am wrong as I would love to do the same in my 08. Please keep me posted and I wish you luck.

Here are a few more options for you. As someone else previously mentioned, you can also replace your monitor with an Android based monitor that will allow you to run CarPlay. There is a minimum Android version to run CarPlay, but 8.1 definitely will do the job.
