H/K cabin noise mic
Hello everyone. I have an issue with my H/K setup on my 07 S550. The cabin mic that measure ambient noise is combatting me tuning my subwoofer setup. When I get it sounding right, the stereo either adds or removes bass and it gets all wonky. I think I’ve narrowed it down to the cabin mic. But I’ll be driving and the bass will go from perfect, to non existent, to way too much. Depending on various driving conditions. I didn’t really notice it much until I started messing with my tuning. But it’s just super annoying. Also, when the bass “boosts” from the H/K amp the control on the headunit are all but useless. Turning it to -10 is still way too much. But then it will go back to normal after a while and I can set it back to the +5 I had. Anyone else experience this?
Im using an AudioControl LC2i as my LOC connected to my Rockford Fosgate RF1200.1D amplifier. I have the “accubass” setting all the way off. I was thinking maybe cutting the mic wire or disconnecting it may work. Is this the mic location?
