Favorite mods?

Hey all,

Picking up a used 2007 W221 S500 here very soon. Pretty bare bones in terms of tech package, so looking to add on some features I've come across reading through forum posts. In short, what are must have mods for an S550? So far I'd like to do the following:

1. Remote start module with dronemobile add on (5$/month for cellular remote start)

2. Android integration - Looking at an aftermarket Android headunit or just adding bluetooth module.

3. Slightly lowered suspension - Still unsure of which route to go (module, links, or dealer programming)

That's about it planned. Would love to add radar cruise but doesn't seem feasible. Any other must haves?

I've also used it for a year and absolutely satisfied with it.
I've used links on my prior S600 but I have been looking at some that are electronic and support ABC suspension.

Can you elaborate a little? Who did the tune, and was it just the TCU or did you have the ECU done as well?

I've got a current issue with my transmission -- needs the conductor plate replaced. I have noticed that the car drives like it's only hot half an engine. The engine is fine, so I have to assume it's the TCU limiting output. We'll see after I get the tranny back in a happy state.

https://www.ecstuning.com/ But I think they are a supporting vendor here, so you might get a deal if you DM them here.

I got both done but the TCU tune was most noticeable. Made it shift less like a snowmobile, LOL
