Curious what anyone has done to repair this, if it can even be repaired.
One wheel is by far the worst. There's hardly any curb rash. Seem silly to replace a wheel for this.
It can be repaired and resprayed, at least in US. Your wheel doesn't have any damage, like curb rash, so it is about sand blasting, base coating and respraying.
If the wheels are aluminum then you can sand them down yourself with water. I have taken many wheels down to bare metal with sand paper then used rubbing compounds with a buffing pad on an electric drill to shine them. Sorry I do not have any pictures on the laptop I am on. If you do not mind the leg work you can DIY it for cheap. I have also sanded and spray painted wheels to match body color then clear coated them (spray can also). If you google it you will see many examples. Last time I had roughly 30 hours in 5 wheels (one spare) and 40-60 bucks maybe in supplies. As for the end result, no one would ever believe that it wasn't like that from the factory.
A common solution for this is to have the wheels powder-coated. I had my wheels done and they still look great after three years. The price here in Phoenix was $600 for all four at DentWizard. The process was to drop the car off at 5pm and pick it up the next morning after 7:30am, they literally work nights doing the work.

another key issue is Merc and BMW wheels are made of absolute crap. An abused ford alloy lasts 15 years no issues even if you've used in darkest winter and covered in salt. A merc one is trashed inside 4 years no matter how you look after it
