First question is why was the Pentosin fluid so low in the first place?
I would drain and flush the ABC system and hope for the best!
Good luck.

thanks for the reply, I bought the car a month ago, and when I first checked it it was low, even though the car had an impeccable service record all done at mercedes of beverly hills, all I can see in the record in relation to ABC that front struts have been recently replaced, i'm thinking the system has not been properly bled, who knows, but the level has not gone down since I topped it off. Now what damages would this 1/2 quart would do to the system?
thanks

That is a question I don’t want to see answered.

Probably none over the short term. It's hydraulic oil in a hydraulic system, it's not like you put washer fluid in the oil pan or something. To be on the safe side I'd do a flush with new, clean (and correct) fluid and a filter, and sin no more.

Well, remember, I'm just some guy on the Internet. But...
  • The stuff is in there
  • There's nothing you can do to go back in time and un-do it
  • Nothing has broken or exploded yet
  • You're already planning to flush and fill
Relax.
