S320 w221 gearbox issue
Mechanic advised to replace tcm module as it was unrepairable.
He ordered new VGS3 TCM plate and i think he scn coded it and did road adaptations.
He did not copy anything over from my old tcm plate as he said online coding is enough.
After recieving my car back now it jolts hard in 1-2 gear change and little in 2-3. Massive jolt in 3-2 gearchange and jolt in 2-1. Feels like someone back ended my car when it jolts.
Driving on highway seems to be okay, with no noticable problems, however in city traffic jerking and jolting is big issue...
As plate was new, does valve flow data need to be transferred from old VGS2 plate ?
My mechanic said just drive it and see what is gonna happen in few weeks. Also he said there is special thicker “repair” oil he wants to put in gearbox and he thinks that gearbox is loosing pressure thats why its jolting.
before tcm replacement car was driving fine...
