Massage seats so nothing

I have a 2011 S550 and when I go to the massage function and change the settings it goes right back to 0. They do nothing. Also when cornering the car seats would move and hold you in place, but now they do not. This didn't all happen at once, the massage didn't work and just recently I noticed the seats sides now moving like they were. Just recently acquired this car and still learning what and where some of the functions are.

Try the individual adjustments. If some of them are working, your pump is okay and you probably have some bladder or air line leaks. The system will shut down the bladders that it detects leaks on. If those bladders are used for the massage or dynamic functions, those functions are disabled as well. For example, the side supports are used for dynamic but not massage. Leaks in the side support bladders will disable the individual setting and also the dynamic function, but you will still have massage if that is the only issue. Removing power from the seat module (pulling fuse or unplugging module) will reset it, but if the leak hasn't been fixed it will quickly be disabled again. If you have no function in any of the bladders, you might have a blown fuse, bad pump, or bad seat module.

Common problem and almost always a leak.

Mike is right...it is almost always hose leaks that kill the system operation.
You may also experience split seams in the air bladders, which can be repaired, but are better to be replaced.
The pump system has auto shut off, so it rarely fails the pump. I have a spare pump just in case
