Does anybody have the outside mounting diameter measurement for the woofer? Was hoping to get that without removing my door panel until I'm ready to install new drivers. Need to know what to order/what will fit. 2012 S550, Harmon Kardon.
Here is a great write up on the W221 audio: www.w221audio.wordpress.com. i plan on upgrading my front door woofers to the Goldwood GW-204 4″ woofer. You should be able to get the specs from looking that speaker up.
Thanks Dude. I bookmarked that link a few days ago and read through Mike's thread here on his upgrade. That's what inspired me to do this, as I'm also not impressed at all with the factory stereo
The smaller driver is a 4". The larger could be either 6" or 8", I just need the mounting diameter. I have everything else and will be installing it all tomorrow. I bought the Massive EQ9, a Bluetooth adapter and a Hiby R3 Pro Saber. I can run the factory front door drivers til I figure it out or pull a door panel. I have a message out to an ebay seller with door pods listed, hopefully he'll get a measurement to me.
