u have two unusual possible can bus comms nasties.... perhaps the issue is comms / sam or cgw issues rather than faulty components?

damp electrics always a lively event on Mercs (but not a common one on the w221) can bus works on such silly electrical signals its quite easy to throw them a curve ball

pull off muliplugs and remake connections everywhere maybe with some ACF50 to fight corrosion and of course two decent batteries
CGW might have got old and bothered... get a second hand one and get some one to configure to your car ?

What plugs though? The mechanic said there was corrosion on the plug on coming from the car that connects to the parking brake actuator. He put electric grease on it. Am I able to buy the wiring harness coming from the car which connects to the parking brake actuator

any major electrical connection and earth point anywhere u can find it
I'd disconnect the batteries first then pull anything and everything apart a few times might as well start with gcw under the dash and the front sam

merc have NO IDEA how to drain water of the screen or sunroof and most SAMs have been taking a bath for a few months before then get "interesting"

So I got some much needed direction from ninjabenz. He directed me to the cab bus lin under the passenger side dashboard. I am inclined to buy a new can bus distributor if it’s water logged. Anyone know the part #

Hello! I have the same problem. It seems that the EPB is completely dead. iCarsoft scanner cannot connect to the module. And many errors regarding no can bus communication to the damn epb...
Did you solve it?
Thanks!

Yes, the plug coming from the car had major corrosion on it.. you need to replace it.

The one connecting the black box underneath the car? Did you replace the whole wiring harness? Or just the plug? And where do i get the plug from? Many questions, sorry.
