Dynamic seat menu not opening
Hello everyone,
I am still having issue understanding how the dynamic seat fonction works,
It doesn’t do anything when I press the button.
The lumbar seems to work as it’s randomly moving in my back sometimes.
Even if the pump is dead, shouldn’t it at least pop up the menu when I hit the button ?
Are all w221 equipped with that option ?
Thank you in advance

If you have a code reader, give that a try before doing anything. Perhaps it is a bad switch? You could try buying a used one on Ebay and swapping it out. Very odd though how you said it works randomly, sometimes. The typical issue is that when you hit the seat massage feature, it immediately goes back to zero, indicating a burned out pump and/or leaks in the system.

look up the build sheet for the car - lots of things are options on the 221 https://www.lastvin.com/
maybe your comand was replaced and you have menus for features not on the car

two tests better to try the connections one before the key goes in the car that day
a 30 min workload idea that might help
unlock the car, open the door, leave the key off !!!, two screws on the back bottom of the seat, lift off the panel and remake all electrical connections to the seat module (unplug & re-plug in each of the 6 multiplugs), and turn the key on and see if the menu shows up
general start up of the vehicle
if the one above doesn't help - there is a compressor in the boot behind the rear seats that runs every time you unlock the car - its near the left rear wheel - its should run for about 60 seconds as you unlock the vehicle, often as jumping in, doing up your seat belt and starting the car you never notice. If there is no noise and or it runs in cycles for 20 mins and gives up somewhere you have an air leak
its always best to read forums for a bit and trying search and continuing on with other posts on the same topic - you lean more - saves us time - build a better quality dataset for all
the good bit here is a link to the post both of you should have found and asked about https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...otworking.html
