eis/key fob or accessory battery ?

hello fellow s class owners, i am currently facing a huge issue with my vehicle . when i go to put my key in the ignition it doesn’t want to turn but when i apply pressure & push up it will turn over . when i finally get it to turn over i put it in the first on position & everything loses power (radio),clusters & lights on dash . almost every time i go to start it it either turns off by itself or sputters & doesn’t turn on , i have to repeatedly try & eventually it will turn on . hopefully someone understands me or has had this happen to them & know the fix. thanks ! 🙏🏽 (only video short enough)

a massive bunch of other keys and detritus hanging off the key is well known to increase wear and tear - as is high mileage - not an expert (in exactly how it works) but there's some comms between the "key" and the switch and it is not meant to turn if this comms is dodgy - probably needs a new switch (again common issue) in the mean time get all the crap off and use the key only

It's surprisingly easy to remove the ignition switch but it's a "theft relevant part". It's programmed to the key and programmed to the car. An Indy won't be able to do this job and keep Keyless Go active. You'd be at the mercy of the dealership.

An alternate option would be to leave the switch alone and buy a Keyless Go ignition button. Then you'll never have to turn your ignition cylinder.

No takeover from old the ignition switch module possible here
only way is as below
Now if you have Xentry you can borrow a Green/Blue/whatever key (color changes by year) they charge a little fee
then adapt
risk is great as it might be key related also (only xentry will tell)

then, to upgrade from non keyless go to keyless go is just a matter of adding and coding a used keyless go module from ebay
with xentry also no green/blue key required

1 more option:

buy a used ignition switch from ebay
find a locksmith with VVDI
have him copy yours into the used one
done
