Sunroof slide function not working

Sunroof slide function not working
It will tilt up and down, but not slide back and forth from the switch or a scan tool. The odd thing is the switch functions are all wrong. If I press the switch to slide forward, it tilts up, or if I press to tilt down it doesn't nothing. Any ideas?

Sounds to me like a bad switch. They are a common failure point. Other failure points would be both motors sunshade and pano roof. Life of both can be extended by proper lubrication of sunroof mechanism using proper crazy expensive Mercedes lube.

Sunroof doesn't slide even when commanded by scan tool so not likely the switch. Its not a pano roof so no power shade either.
