S600 ABC one corner high

So ye old S600 has left front higher than the others probably about a whole inch/25mm. Did a quick rodeo on it while trying to figure out another issue (hasn't been driven in a while) and it articulates.

Any quick thoughts on this...full valve body was done recently, accumulators done, fluid, etc. Just a general direction, level sensor in DAS to look at, etc.

Thanks.

a while back had a few threads running re sensors on top of each strut give up....

this can lead to odd ride heights
nodding front end waiting at traffic lights
can't remember if makes for random ride heights...

the nodding I seem to recollect is the rear ones playing stupid

Yes, I would check sensors first. If sensors are older than 10 years or 100 K miles, simply replace them as a maintenance item. If your struts are leaking and or problematic, there are several rebuilders in FL. You may have trouble sourcing a replacement Mercedes strut at a reasonable price. And I would be suspicious of an Ebay special.

If you are not already doing so, you need to change the green Pentocin every two years and change the filter using an OEM filter when you do it. Keep us posted on what you do.

Speaking of sensors...if one replaces ABC with coilovers, does the need for the level sensor go away? Or is it also related to the electronic stability of the car?

I don't think officially anyone make a set up to swap out ABC with real suspension

I can image a need for BN to sort extra like cross wind compensation and all manner of other complaints it with throw, and what tells the headlights where they are ?

Ok, dumb question. When say parked on slight side-to side incline, will it keep the car level?

which >

steel springs - no
air tragic - yes
ABC - I expect so, its the upgrade of air tragic - all it really hates is doing nothing for month on end - then it gives up

If so would explain, after a lot of testing in DAS, everything seems ok now on a different yet somewhat same surface. Who knows. I told it to level itself in DAS, and could see the values fluctuate but they never converged. That's what made me think it doesn't care about shock level, but vehicle level.

Ah well.
