After many exterior and interior colors, I settled on, and recently took delivery of, my exterior Black (code 040) with interior Black Exclusive Leather. This is the first time I have had exclusive leather, and in the future I will not buy anything else; it is that much better. I have previously had light colored leather interiors, and they are impossible to keep looking new. If you wear a leather coat, or other clothing that is dyed, the seats will PERMANENTLY stain. Stained upholstery will not clean and must be repainted ($$$).

I do agree, the exclusive leather/designo options are that much better. Seeing it in my car today, the diamond pattern stitching, the headliner, and extra trim really brings the interior to a new level.
And yes, light interiors are really difficult to maintain, which is why we went with black. Still looks really nice even though it's seems less impressive in pictures.

Here is a question where you do shopping for clothes. I wear mostly trousers of reputable manufactures, no Chine made, so I never observed any seats coloring. I know people complain a lot who wear cheap jeans poorly painted.

Dye transfer to vat died leather can be cleaned with the appropriate cleaner and technique - but it can be incredibly difficult. It wipes right off of MB-Tex surfaces with the appropriate cleaner, though.

I've had Levis, Seven and Lucky all rub off onto my ash seats... I wouldn't call $200 a pair of cheap pants.

I have a Tan colored interior in my current car and I had the dealership Scotchgard my interior. I wear lots of quality denim and theres no signs of staining after about 3 months of ownership. The Scotchgard service was offered by my Lexus Dealership free of charge so I don't know how much it costs or if Mercedes offers such service. (I'm sure they do though) If not just find a reputable detail shop to do it for you. I really didn't notice a difference in the feel of the leather after they scotchgarded it, it did leave a scent in my car for about a week but it wasn't a bad scent, but definitely not a "new car" scent, lol

I finally sat in one and played around a bit at my dealer. All looked fantastic. Only small issue I saw was the quality of ventilation grills and the button to cut the air flow. They felt very cheap/light plastic to me.
Also - I started massage and it didnt feel any better than my 14GL 350. I didnt confirm if it had hot stone massage or not. May be it was equipped with a lesser massage option. Not sure.
All in all, it feels grand!
