S63 White Matte or Regular White Paint?
Those who opted in for matte paint, what is your experience with it? I never owned matte paint.
Curious how practical is it? How quickly it gets dirty? or how easy to clean it? Any other issues?

How good does one actually look in real life vs regular white paint? Is it worth it?

Steer clear of matte unless you plan on only owning for a short period of time. I always recommend to my high end clients that if they want matte then order the car in the color you want. Once you receive it have it professionally wrapped in a 3m matte vinyl. You get the best of both worlds and then when it comes to resale you just have the wrap removed. Underneath is a perfect and spotless factory paint job.

as far as looks? they look amazing!
but cleaning and upkeep can be daunting: I'm guessing more so on a white car.

Unfortunately, you cannot order an S Class with "regular" white paint, as it is not offered. I realize that you are referring to Diamond White Metallic as the "regular" white, but I sure wish MB would offer the S Class and SL's in a SOLID, PLAIN WHITE, like BMW and Audi do. Every time I see a BMW 750LI in their fabulous Arctic White, I think of how great that color would look on an S550. Would it kill MB to offer a few more colors on their $100K+ luxo sleds? Luxury is all about choice. If I want a plain white S550, I should be able to order one.

A black car looks great the day you buy it and the day you sell it. 90% of the black cars you see on the street are either full of swirls in the paint, are dirty or just look lousy. The other 10% just came from the detail shop.

Yea. For 07-09 last gen w221 you could get the bright white, then in 2010 they took it way and only offered the $1,000 optional diamond white...

That Ruby Black is a very interesting color. It can look black, deep red, copper and other colors, depending on the light. Glad you are enjoying it.
