Ordering a 2017 Emerald Green or settling....
I have narrowed my search down to a new s550 Sedan. I am sure I want the premium pkg and drivers assistance plus maybe the surround view. But 2016 doesn't seem to be much diff than 2017 and certainly has some better deals available.
But i really like the emerald green (not the blackish green on a few 2016s) at least from the sample. Haven't been able to find any in inventory around Houston and assume no easy way to check national inventory??
Your thoughts on the color and factory ordering please....also any suggestions on surround view or other options you like would be appreciated.

I can honestly only picture Emerald Green on a Jaguar, and no other car.
I would recommend getting the newest model year because there will always be minor fixes and updates that you can't see that are fixed at the production level. However, it depends on how big the discount is on a 2016 model versus a 2017 model. If the discount is large enough then you should consider a 2016.

An Emerald Green S550 is going to be almost impossible to find. I think I have seen only one on the road and I see 50 W222's a day where I live. Anyway, good luck.

having configured 4 cars, I'd say go for the configurator.....so you can get precisely what you want on the car.....however, that color might be tough on the resale value, but it is a nice color you don't see often on a S class, would look good

Is it just me, or using the MBUSA "Build" feature for a new S550 sedan, on the two high end interiors, Silk Beige/Titanium Gray Pearl or Silk Beige/Satin Red Pearl, it appears that they have the photos switched. Does anyone else see this?

I ordered one today in emerald green. Sort of frustrating. Turns out that just because you can build one on the website doesnt even remotely mean you can get it in real life. Option x23 requires G24 and 407 and an option starting with B and any mercenne prime... well, at the end of the day I dropped down in the designo interiors from near the top (which require everything everywhere) to the least expensive nonstandard ones...

I was in MB Laguna Niguel yesterday and they have an Emerald Green S550 on the showroom floor. It looked fantastic! Very nice color.

Hi - Just saw your post on the Emerald Green S 550 Sedan. I happened to see a few weeks back a video posted on You Tube of the MB Booth at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show - were they had on display front & center an absolutely beautiful 2017 Emerald Green S 500 Sedan. I posted the link here for your reference should you want to take a look. If the link does not work directly from the my reply - copy it into your web browser and it should work. Good luck with your purchase. Nick
