I kept searching through this thread and didn't see any pics? I kept looking, then I saw the small link to click.

Is this what you mean by mouse?

Cant wait to see this car in other colors. Black would make it look MUCH better.

I wonder what target audience Lexus is trying to appeal to.

The car now has a typical Asian look to it which is normally not considered very upscale.

I see some nice interior elements and then many that don't seem to any sense (from a design perspective).
Worst are the 2 knobs on the dash that remind me of the bolts on the head of Frankenstein's monster.

No, Streamliner. You has a eureka moment you decided to purchase a S550.

I like the look! Very sporty. But more in line with a $40-60k car. Not on the same level as MB 550.

Atrocious. After many LSs I made the move to the S Class. As I was complaining in another thread, issues with brakes out of the gate and after 25K miles need to replace brakes and rotors.

Never in my life replaced a rotor on any of my LSs and when I needed to change brakes (at 45K miles) they were reasonably priced.

In addition, I find the service with the Mercedes to be awful - I've gone to different dealers and they all have an attitude as if you should be thanking them for allowing you to drive the car and for allowing you to pay them to service your car.

Now granted perhaps I am not the typical sucker they see who says "yes, please change my brakes for $2,000 and thank you so much," but they seem to have a bizarre ego to themselves.

Net net, while I don't love the new design of the LS, when this lease is over heading back. Save some money on the front end as well as on the maintenance side and the S Class is not that much better than the LS. Don't need to tell people "I drive a Mercedes" -- clearly an important part of the Mercedes business model

I hear you, Mercedes tends to blame the owner and never the car when something breaks. BUT, when you are in a serious accident, I'd rather be in a Mercedes and I still find nothing drives like an S class. I've had LS's before also.

I must have missed something, but he asked about reliability and you mentioned a wear and tear item? Brakes? That isn't reliability. Durability maybe, but not reliability.

Maybe my wife and I have just been really lucky, but we have had great success with both our Benz's and with the 2 dealerships we have taken them to. They have bent over backwards to give great service. And, not crazy expensive either.

You want to be treated badly, go to the Beverly Hills Porsche service department. I have a few horror stories. Stopped going there and drove way out of my way to another Porsche dealership to have my 911's serviced.

One of the reasons I chose a Benz was because of the way I was treated at the dealership.

My Benz dealer treats me quite well. My current Mercedes are quite reliable. The new Lexus LS is ugly. Why would anyone want one.
