anyone know what the battery display in the middle of the dash means. I t came on as I was driving, sometimes was colored in and sometimes not>

Didn't know what it meant. It happened on the cross island as i left the dealership. Was trying to figure out the other stuff while driving. It is going back today already. They are picking it up. The steering wheel is not centered while driving straight.Kinda in the 11/5 as opposed to 12/6 if you know what i mean. I told them to look at it. It basically looks like a gauge on the bottom under the mileage. As i accelerated sometimes the gauge responded and sometimes it didn't. They were so good about it. Couldn't apologize enough. I had my wife following in my truck she was nervous driving it and i didn't want to turn around.

Does it change its color when you lift the foot off the gas pedal ? I suppose this might be related to coasting or sailing mode is kicking in

In another forum it was said that the car has regen on the wheels to recharge the battery, and the length of the green bar indicates the battery charge state. It is supposed to reduce load on the alternator for better gas mileage. Can anyone here confirm this to be true?

That was what I suggested in my original post but I can't confirm that because I'm not affiliated with mythbusters lol
