Squeaking/squealing sound in glove box

Squeaking/squealing sound in glove box
I've been noticing a squealing /squeaking sound coming from the area of the glove box in the past 2 or 3 weeks. It comes and goes about every 5 minutes and lasts for about 10 seconds. It has been increasing in frequency. I thought it might be the air freshener solenoid but I proved it not to be the culprit by turning it off and actually removing the fragrance container. Today I finally deduced it is something involved with the air conditioner. I remember years ago the coil condenser units used to be in that area up against the firewall and I'm not sure where they are in this car. When I hear it, I immediately turn off the air conditioner and it stops. Has anyone else had this issue? I guess you could say this is my first issue with my car. I will have to have it checked while in warranty.

Try opening the glove box as soon as you hear it and see if it stops. The Air Freshener will open the release to the container so it can be removed. Do this as a quick test. While the box is open, the air freshener will not cycle.

I had a similar noise coming from teh same area, turned out to be the wood trim on the passenger side door. New trim piece fixed the issue

IF AC related could be a blend door or RECIRC/OUTSIDE door.
OR blower motor
OR something hitting blower motor squirrel cage.

I did that first thing. It didn't have any effect on it. That was my first thought too.

That's in line as to what I think it is. May be trash or something that is impeding it. It immediately stops when I turn the blowers off.

It was just in for a full service. They said filters had been replaced. Less than 5000 miles ago.
