W222 - Pre facelift headlights?

Hey guys.
Quick question. I'm planning to upgrade from my 2007 W221 to a pre-facelift W222 (2014 or 2015)

I am trying to figure out what is the difference between the LED headlights on those 2014/15 S classes (which somehwere appear under the Multibeam LED name, somewhere just as LED) and for example a facelift CLS class which has the headlights marketed as Multibeam LED everywhere. What do the S class headlights miss from the ones in the CLS?

Does the pre-facelift have multibeam at all? I am really confused.

Talking about the EU models - from what I can see, the US ones didn't get the full features due to the regulations..

Any help and links to support the claim would be really appreciated! I tried looking for a while but could not find anything

Thx!

I would jump straight to the latest headlamps. W222 has lots of moisture issues. Somewhere on the forum, they have the adapter to make the New style work on the W222. One big difference in the lights is if you have Night Vision or not.

The prefacelift a similar multibeam , but not so advanced. I don't know in the US , but in EU , high-beam assist is great.

If you live in US , I don't thing you will see much of a difference between facelift and pre-facelift , due to the fact that (as far as I know ) , high beam assist is not available

I understand, but i really dont think the pre-facelift and the facelifted 222 are different in terms of headlights. I have a GLC 300 with the led lights (on the P3 package) and its about the same quality.. i mean if you ask me

Had multiple issues with moisture damaging headlamps multiple times even after they modified the lamp assembly with the packs. They replaced both headlamps a second time and stated that they did not need to put the moisture packs in them that the problem was resolved. If this is true, time will tell.
If this is true, I'm pretty confidant that the 1st revision of the headlamps for W222 ( non modified / old inventory ) will end up on ebay and amazon. I don't think they would not address this issue on the W223.
The cost of the headlamp OEM assemblies are very expensive. I would not purchase any "used" no matter how they look on ebay etc. If you have " Night Vision ", they are what adds to the cost.

P.S. This should be standard in every Police Car on the road.... It is amazing how it will show people way before you can see with your own eyes... I did have it activate once on its own when a Deer was on the NY State Thruway. It actually does 2 things, it will pop-up on the display on its own and flash the highbeams fast. Amaizing....
