Here’s a good mod. AMG style quad exhaust tips
They look real and easy install with double stick tape. Hopefully they will stay on as there’s some heat there and moisture. They fit on very tight though and feel real solid. Very pleased with these. Got them on Amazon.

This other mod I did, I dunno if I'll keep it or not, gonna live with it for a while. Ten bucks on Amazon so not the end of the world if I pull this letter emblem off.

That is an very interesting mod. It will be interesting to see if they are able to hold on for a while with just double sided tape. As my S550 has the sport package, it looks like a tasteful mod, and I would only be out $19 if they fell off when driving over a speed bump on a cold day. Keep us posted.

That brings back memories. Jack Tripper. Lol. The Biturbo emblem mod is probably gotta go it just doesn’t look right. With the exhaust tip mod. Anyone who knew these cars would be confused with the S550 emblem on the left and the S63 tips. They might think I took a S63 and put a S550 emblem on it.

That Biturbo emblem has to go. Completely cheapens the look of the car. You could get away with the chrome variant but not on the trunk, those typically reside on the front fender just forward of the front door. They also typically only come on the S63 version though. And if you are going to apply any more emblems to you car, get a ruler and level to make sure they go on uniformly.

Totally agree. That was my original plan was to put the red emblems on the front fenders where they belong. I thought I was getting a pair for 9.99 not just one so instead of buying another I did the right side of the trunk and it is not level either so I’ll remove that today. It does cheapen the car for sure. As for the tips. I think they look great. I do think they will stay on too. They fit very tight and the chrome plating is good. They are much more substantial than I thought they would be. I’ll get another picture today outside of the back of the car.
Staying on so far after 100 miles.

Took those emblems off already did not look right. As I said they were meant to go on the fenders but there was just one in the package. Anyhow ended up throwing them out. Really liking the tips though. Just hope they don’t come off in the car wash lol. Plus I like the red starter button I put on the car.
the thing which made alignment hard on the letters was you look at the top spoiler they are perfectly straight with that. It’s the lower chrome piece that is not straight.

So you could always get these tip covers gold plated that would work. Lol. Anyhow for me it’s a good mod nothing major but I just think the backside of the car looks cleaner with these and I’ve been 400 miles already and they are still on tight as a drum. The trick is to wipe the original outlets with alcohol wipes and have them spotless clean before sticking on these outlet covers.

They look fine and fit perfect. I prefer the look of the amg outlets to non amg outlets. Most would be hard pressed to tell the difference. A lot of people on this forum have more money than common sense.

No saying spend a lot more money for a S63 for the better looking tips. These replicate that for a lot less money for the car. A tune on one of these cars replicates the performance should a person desire more power. I decided against that but that’s just me. Plenty of power as is plus it’s a heavy luxury yacht anyhow so why bother? I was just trying to make the car look a little more sporty and these do. Nobody would know looking at them they were some add on. I really don’t see where anyone is coming from saying they look bad or micky mouse or whatever because they don’t.

It has been interesting watching the way the threads on the W222 forum have “progressed,” as the cars have aged. Maybe that’s why MB designs these cars with so many electronic systems that all seem to sort of “self destruct” shortly after the extended warranties run out: they would rather see the cars go to the crusher, than remain on the roads with various “upgrades” and “mods.”

You would have been better off buying a Honda and sticking a Benz emblem on it and trying to trick people into thinking it's a S550. Then again......people on this forum have more money than common sense.

Very happy with my 2017 S550V. Not like my car is some cheap old car I just bought it for 60 grand about a month ago only had 16k miles on it. I sacrificed some tech improvements in the 2018 up models as there is a fairly large price jump up to go that route. For me this is a third car. I had a 2015 S500 that I drove a while and really liked it as a highway cruiser so that’s one reason I’m back in one. Plus from what I’ve seem of previews of the new 223s not that crazy about them. But heck everyone is different otherwise life would be pretty dull I guess.
it remains to be seen how the 223s will go over. The 222s have been great. Sometimes things change in time. Example being the older Lexus cars were great back in the 1990s it was the preferred car to drive. My father had a ls400 and was the envy of all his friends. Heck even Bill Gates was driving a Ls400 Lexus when he coulda had his pick of any car being made at the time. Now most would rather be in a Benz or BMW than a Infiniti or Lexus.

And apparently you have a lot less style than even common sense. Absolutely no one is going to mistake those for AMG quad tips, you are fooling yourself (let alone the V8 Biturbo in red that isn't even on remotely straight).

I find your condescending tone very low brow my dude....why don't you go take a walk or something. Can we see your impeccable style and taste somewhere please? Feel free to post some pictures and take the time so we can skewer your thoughts and ideas too
