OEM AMG wheels cracks, what's next?

The TWO left AMG rims on my 15 W222 are cracked (hairline) crack and leaking about 1-2 PSI per day. I can fix both of them for $400. What other options do u have for wheels? I can buy new ones now, can anyone suggest a website and certain design that looks good on my car below?

I don't think you want to hear from the 18" rim crew, so I'll keep quiet!

Sorry to hear about the trouble and hope you find a good solution.

Thank you, yeah, I like the 20-21". I think the 22" can be too much, that's about the MAX I'd ever consider, maybe more inclined towards 21". In fact i like the OEM ones and I am thinking of just fixing them, but I thought I would also consider other options if anyone has good experience with a particular design and seller.

I have the exact same wheels and color car as yours. I think those wheels look fantastic on it, so I'd just get them repaired. You should be able to find a better repair cost than $200 per wheel. $100 or less is definitely within reason to repair hairline fractures. Shop around for other places to do the repairs.

For whatever reason I've noticed pirelli tires are delicate. The sidewall seems to be weak and they bubble easily. I would switch to Michelin.

I have owned a lot of MB's over decades and only one wheel ever leaked air. It was the left front wheel on my 2006 S65. I replaced it with a new factory wheel. There were no visible signs of damage but the leak was likely caused by a road impact. I would never repair a wheel since it is uncertain if there is other hidden damage.
I am well aware of the repairability of even severely bent and damaged wheels but I have no interest in trying to save money by putting a repaired wheel on an expensive MB. If the wheel is leaking it is likely road hazard damage, not a manufacturing defect. I agree, lose the Pirelli's and make sure there is enough air in them.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.

I put these wheels on my 2019 E450 Wagon. In the 19's they were around 330 each. called Mandarus 23's.

I have the same 20' rims on my S550... I really do not want to get rid of them due to the cracking.. However, I cannot escape continuous cracks after just 39,000 miles. I'm not sure what rims to get considering all current aftermarket rims are far from the OEM design...

So far, I have not seen a single wheel on this forum or in streets that is nicer than this AMG wheel on the S550 W222. Am gonna stick with it and if i have to, i will buy same set again. Luckily I managed to fix the very thin crack for only $100. It was very minor crack, in the lip only.

Do these wheels always crack on the inside lip, or is it random?
