Massage Seats Inactive
Massage seats on my S550 are no linger active...also, seat settings (lumbar, shoulders, etc ) are no longer adjustable. I can program the settings by way of the dash screen, but my input fails to change the seats to the programed setting.
Any ideas ?

I was out of the warranty period at the time, so i paid the $160 diagnostic fee, and that was it.

Yes it did. Which made me think the update was cheaper so they just charged me the diagnostic fee.

I've got the same issue with my 2018 S560. The dealer I complained about to it 3 x last winter wouldn't fix it. Been waiting for my next service A in about a month or so and gonna get it fixed.

When I saw your original post I started to ask if the seat bladder that provides support on curves was also inoperable, but others diagnosed as software issue. In my case the pump was the issue as I had my pneumatic pump replaced in July 2019 at cost of $1,320 (MSRP of pump at that time was $855) paid by extended warranty.

Just as as aside, I looked at my service ticket and found the B1EA904 code that is listed in this bulletin. The ticket also says "tried to update, pump still not working, replaced pneumatic pump and program, seats working."

Thanks for posting about the software update for the massaging seats. I'm pretty sure that is the issue with mine. They just go once cycle from when the car is started and then quit working. I complained to the dealer in Florida about it 4 times or so and said nothing was wrong, at the next service I'm gonna try to get this issue squared away under warrantee.

Do you still remember how long it takes for dealer to find it out and fix it and how much it takes? I’m having the same behavior where it only works for the first run and then stopped working.

Could vary a lot depending on mow helpful the dealer is. The dealer I use is very good but not sure how much it woulda cost outta warrantee as my car was still under warranty when they did the repair. They may have taken out the seat in which case I’m sure it would be at least a few hours labor@ roughly 200 bucks labor but hard to tell could be something else too.
