2016 S550 AC Fan Speed Issue
I have a 2016 S550 4Matic that recently started developing a fan speed issue when AC is on with vent into cabin. On 1 it sounds like it is set at 5. I can move the speed all the way up to 7 and back it down and SOMETIMES it will move slower as I decrease the speed and SOMETIMES when I get to 3 it just stays at that level even if moving it back to 1. I did get the extended warranty so I assume I can just take it in to get fixed, but wondering if this is common or not? It's quite sporadic, so hard to get it to do this on command when taking to dealer for assessment. Thoughts?

Tap your COMAND controller down 2x to get to the climate control menu. From there, check the box for "sync" and turn off the "auto" temp control. Make sure you also have the airflow set the way you like it. From there you should have full control to adjust fan speed to your liking by by-passing the auto feature. Fan speed is adjustable in the COMAND menu....even though there is a button under the COMAND screen. Try making your fan speed adjustments there and see if that works.

My car is always set so each side can manage their own temp and fan speed. I never set it to auto, so that is not the issue. I did try the steps you provided, however, that did not change anything so I moved it back to my normal settings. I appreciate your suggestion.
