Internal Settings are Turning Themselves Off

I have a 2018 S560 and keep having to turn certain options back on regularly. For instance, I set my dynamic seats to level 2, turn air ionization on, fragrance boost on low, and ambient lighting to 100%. A week or two goes by and all those things change back to factory default. Brought it to the dealer, they did a software update, and sent me on my way. Unfortunately, no change... Has anyone else experienced this? Any fix?

Yes, I'll be going back. I of course needed the car back for a few days before I was able to determined that their "fix" did not work.

Any chance you are using a different key. Settings stored on Key 1 and sometimes you use Key 2?

Other key is locked up in the safe so no dice. Good to know though!

Are you using the User Profiles and have them synching to the server? Typically when this happens it's an outdated user profile that syncs to the car and overrides the current settings. Adjust your settings to your liking and then manually export the profiles to the server. I don't know about mBrace in the 2018, but they messed around with the personalization service in Mercedes me connect for MY2019+ and rolled out a new version. When they did that my profile on the server was completely out of sync and I had to do the export to avoid old settings from coming back.

Have your starter and accessory batteries load tested. Strange stuff like this often happens when the batteries are nearing end of life.

THANK YOU! I'm going to check this out this week and report back.

That could be exactly the issue. It's obvious your car doesn't get driven a lot so the batteries are likely never getting a full charge when you do drive it. Also, sitting for extended periods can also cause them to lose charge and wear out.

Your dealer, an indy, or even a place like AutoZone can do a load charge for you to check the condition of your batteries.
