Am I missing a drain tube?
This is under the right front side of the car, just behind the right front tire.
Recently I changed the fender liner and replaced one large drain tube, (the one everyone says makes a dragging sound after a large puddle, when it falls out, I super glued it in)
I did notice what looked like another connection for a drain tube behind the large one I reinstalled.
you can see the outlet for the large drain tube that I reattached, but what is supposed to come out of this hole? See this hole? Am I missing a drain tube? Am I missing a drain tube on the right front?

Took fender liner off (wheel well)
I Put glue on the inside and put it back on.
When you take the wheel liner off you will see to the upper left where it slots in.
Put glue on the inside of the drain pipe as it sits over the housing.
what I am trying to be sure of is, are there only 2 drains that come out of the front? Or does that have a missing one for that hole?
Thank you for posting this. My drain tube fell out a few days ago as I was exiting an interstate highway, scraping against the road. Glad it wasn't something more serious.

as far as the tube falling out.
It sits in it's slot pretty shabbily and you need to use some good glue to make it stick.
note the way it installs so you see where to put the glue.

Thanks for the info Vin, my part #280 just fell out. It was dragging, I stopped and saved it. Do you think it is necessary? I'm thinking of leaving it out. Any real need for this thing? Seems like an afterthought the way it is installed. Rgds, Tim
Hey Tim, did you ever get a response to your question? My part #280 fell out today after driving thru a puddle. It was dragging on the ground so I pulled it out. It is not salvageable so it will need to be replaced. I will make an appointment with MB dealership but I would prefer to wait until the A service is due (two birds one trip). So how long can drive around without the drain pipe?

I drove around for about a week the first time mine fell out. Replaced it, and it fell out again during the next heavy rain. I drove around for a couple of months until a service was due, then I had the dealer fix it under warranty. You won’t have a problem driving without it - in fact I would bet there are a significant number of W222s driving around unaware that theirs is missing.
