And I meant to say in my original post that my dad always drove Porsche and my mother always drove Mercedes. In the end, she won, and we ended up being pretty much a Mercedes family for most of my childhood. Anyway, glad you were able to enjoy the video, and thank you for the response!

Things I don稚 miss about my 140 car....
The flexible chassis. Modern cars don稚 serenade you with squeaks and groans over bumps like they used to. I quickly learned to never have my finger tips at the top of the door with a window open over bumps. The 240 Maybach had the same flexible chassis with a few updates.
Brakes that when applied firmly at 130 are all done slowing the car by 80mph.... and the car is still doing 80!
Body roll!
Lack of power compared with modern cars. The 120 engine was all that back in the day.... Shown taillights by a modern turbo-4. I sure did love the snarling noise that bent-12 made when opened up every morning getting onto I-90.
Yeah, by todays standards the 129 and 140 flex and squeak and rattle, but there痴 more to it than that. The W140 was just an amazing car that broke so much new ground at the time. Anyway, thanks for watching and responding. Always fun to have some nostalgia. 😃
