Does anyone use a car fridge - any problem with battery?

Has anyone tried a car fridge in their car? Something like this one? Would it put too much load on the battery, and does the vehicle charge when off?

No one uses OEM fridges except for that one time you wanted to show your friend, then you take it out because it uses the whole miniature trunk.

I don't think there are actual fridges available aftermarket, all that's available are those cooling boxes (no compressor) which will do next to nothing as the trunk heats up.

Only way to successfully run a fridge when vehicle is off is to procure a jump car to follow you around.

Apparently the item you linked is compressor based, no direct experience but the thermal complication still arises.
Your trunk is not vented and will heat up on a hot day and will then heat up more when this tuns on.
Is that rated to operate at 120F? Maybe 140F after a couple of hours?
I would say nothing that thing can do is not better served by a good cooler.

I figured I could use this electric cooler while the car is on. Maybe it would be ok if I turn off the car for a while. I wouldn’t leave it in the car all day.

I have a regular cooler that fits behind the seats. But it’s not a Mercedes-Benz cooler. So I’m not sure I’m allowed to use it in my S class.

The use case would be visiting a few wineries in summer. I’d rather not put a few bottles in the cooler and have the labels get wet from melting ice.

Behind the seat there should be no thermal problem as cabin temperature is regulated, the plug in ports shut off with the ignition.

And dry ice for all your dry icing needs.

The fridge only cools when motor is running.
I have not noticed any battery draining and I have owned the car since 2015 with the fridge.

Ice isn’t dry silly. It’s wet. Plus I don’t want my car full of CO2.
