oil lines blocking cam magnets
I have identified the dreaded oil seepage in the cam magnets on my S550, and plan to replace them.
Drivers side upper magnet is blocked by a few plastic lines feeding into the oil filter and wondering if anyone can suggest a practical plan to remove them.
Note that I will also install the pigtail segments on the electric connectors after replacing the cam magnet sensors...belt and suspender approach.

There’s a thread that is pretty involved for both the M157 and M278 engines. Try to find the video on YouTube of the 278 engine because it is significantly (many hours and parts)less work for that engine. That video was posted here as well, but I’m not so great at the search.
MAKE SURE that you replace the bolts for those magnets because they are made of butter and your repair will become exponentially more difficult if you break one of them. Use a torque wrench and make sure there is no sealant in those holes at all.
