Air Suspension lowering of concern ?

Hey guys,

so recently i decided to get myself a dongle with which i can lower my mercedes cars. With the dongle and an app i can control the height of my own s500 and i also did the c300 coupe of my sister. Hers i lowered by around 10mm according to the app and mine by 20mm.

before lowering
before lowering
after lowering (20mm)
after lowering (20mm)

Now the app also stated that an alignment should be done after a substantial amount of lowering which im playing on doing. However i am still worried that the Air Suspension might now be strained harder ? on one hand the overall pressure seems to drop which in theory should lower the overall strain, but given the ride comfort suffered a bit i still think that it is overall worse for the Air Suspension system. Is anyone here able to share their experience regarding the lowering of their cars and the (dis)advantages of it ?

The App and Dongle i use is called "laymatic". Found it through google and can be purchased on their website for anyone asking.

Lowering it strains the system more. Even though pressure is lower, the suspension is stiffer and has less travel, making the airbags and compressor work harder over bumps. This can lead to premature wear. The ride comfort loss is a direct sign of the increased stress. Get the alignment done, but be aware you're trading long-term component life for the look.
