2021 vs waiting for 2022 S Class

I recently received my first Mercedes, a 2021 GLE 450. I like it and it has no issues, but I feel I would rather stick with a sedan, and I really like the new 2021 S-Class, but my build is going to be a 2022. I am going to trade up. My GLE was ordered in November and I was told it had a March first decade build date scheduled. After a month I asked for an update from the dealer. I was told that it was moved up to the 3rd decade of February. It was then built at that time frame and delivered to the dealer in about 3 weeks. The S-Class is built in Germany so I expect a longer delivery time, but I at least hope it all goes as expected.
Someone here on the forum posted an order guide and there were a lot of options that were flagged as "delayed" such as the aluminum/walnut trim package, but the dealer states all of my selections were accepted into the system. Like a few others on this thread, it's going to be a long few months.
