My pet peeves/first world problems:
-Latency of Apple CarPlay from when pressing a button until it actually changes (i.e. change track)
-Need gorilla arms to close door if it’s all the way swung out
-Reflection of center vents on windshield. And sometimes the reflection even appears on the traffic light view in center display!!
-Need to be at a complete standstill to activate trunk lock. So if pulling up to valet, can’t activate it as I’m driving up.

The surprisingly incredible amount of force required to pull open the door handle (all four doors). I had gotten a bit used to it until I opened the door of my old W222 with ease.
Passengers are a bit taken aback when opening, thinking they are doing something wrong.

As mentioned, all four doors have the same issue.
When I mentioned it to the service advisor he said that’s the way it is and suggested to wrap my four fingers inside the handle and with my thumb push on the body…I smell some BS! 💩

I’m not sure what you mean by “electric latch,” but if its causing just a “slight pull” then I either don’t have it or is malfunctioning.

I just drove my first long trip, about 135 miles away. When in cruse control, it kept the speed fine and adjusted for speed limit changes, and adjusted speed for cars in forward traffic, BUT the car wanted to keep a bit to the right of center in the lane. I spent the whole drive while cruse control was set fighting the steering wheel trying to keep the car in the center of the lane. It kept me at a safe space from the traffic in the lane to the right, but in these wide freeway lanes, I prefer to be in the middle.
It's just another feature I want to turn off because I don't trust it. I wonder if it is possible to turn off the steering assist, but keep the speed control for keeping proper distance? Does that only work when in cruse control? Without cruse control set, the car does not appear to slow or stop when approaching a car at a light or a slower car in traffic (at lease for my comfort).
On long trips you are bound to adjust your hands position on the steering wheel. I got numerous warnings to move them away from the camera. Very annoying!

So, at least on my W222, the steering control and the adaptive cruise are different features. Theres a steering wheel button to the left of the wheel on the dash that turns on and off that feature, and that does not impact the distronic cruise. The adaptive cruise only works when the cruise is activated.
Mine tracks nice and centered in the lane

Old Rocker,
I found most of the same issues that you noted as well. Never had the car brakes activate but I have has that on other cars and it can get your heart rate up.
I also found the front seat to not be up to the level as my 2019 S560 seats. Those seats in the S550 and S560's might have been the best, most comfortable seats I have ever owned.
The glare from the A/C vents is terrible as well. The volume controls for the audio, both of them are terrible in my opinion. I miss the metal wheels on the older cars.
The door handles as well, if you pull on them on the left side they are hard to open, you have to position you hand all the way to the right (drivers door).
While some won't see these are problems, I had a hard time dealing with these design "improvements" I traded the car. Actually got $1K over what I paid.
Crazy market.

what did yountrade your car for? It’s crazy but my old ‘20 GLE is back at my dealer for sale again. I am seriously considering trading my new S for it. I have same problems as most here and they are paying me $10k over what I paid for the S. Am I crazy?

I ended up trading in for M8 Competition but also bought a new GLS63. I just finished a full ceramic coating on the GLS. Had to take a pic next to her little sister. 2015 White Arrow SL550.
