mine is a 2022 and I do have #824 additional parts for Cold Countries and p53 energizing air control and p69 warmth comfort package . not sure if any of these features include what you have asked about
I have that menu too. Seems it comes with P53 which again seems to be standard for us. I have 824 and P69 too but don't think those would bring the menu. Cold countries usually have clean air anyway.

The list just says the better filter is there if one of the three options is valid. No need to go for a "China version".
The most relevant parts in relation to the particulate matter menu and readings would be parts 940 and 945 on the first parts figure posted by konigstiger.

You know I dont have that in my main screen, however I do have it on the rear screen. I see the fragrance option is there also, I dont have that as it was deleted off my option list I wonder if thats why I dont have that on the main screen in the front. I can see it working in real time on my tablet

The relevant control units would need to be coded to make them aware of the sensors. I did not check but the sensors would likely be read by the HVAC control unit and MBUX would likely need coding too to activate the menu for the new parameters. If MBUSA accepts P53 to be added to the vehicle data card, then a Mercedes workshop could easily handle the coding. Don't know what is their policy but if the option was missing only from MY21 cars and is standard since then (in the US), perhaps they would do it.
It would be more than just the sensors and the filter that need to be retrofitted. The menu should not even need the filter but then the before and after readings would be about the same. The sensors at least need piping and wiring, no idea what else is needed.
I have it and have surprisingly often. With the way the environment is these days (Climate change etc), I often used it this summer especially with wildfires. I was surprised as to how much better the air quality inside the car was vis a vis the outdoors. It seems quite accurate as I would turn it on inside my well insulated garage and watch the outside measurement change and compare it to the weather gurus numbers. Truly amazing!
