2023 S500
Digital Key now available for the new E Class

I assume this feature isn’t backwards compatible with our cars due to missing hardware or is that hardware there and just not activated? Anyone know for sure? When is the refresh for our cars?

It's interesting that when you build a 2024 GLE AMG on the MB Germany configurator, it already has the option for what looks like the software/hardware for the Digital Key function.
Even more ironic is that the GLE is built in Alabama but the US configurator has no mention of this. So hopefully this feature will be rolled out soon.

2021 S500 (Mojave Silver), MB S400 (wife), BMW 750Li (passed on to kids)
I assume you'd still need to carry the key fob if you valet often.

I wonder if you can use a one time code that expires but I wonder how safe is that.
