You can still get the V12 in the Maybach version.

I have found a 2015 S65 fully loaded with only 18,000 miles for around $75K or so. I might swing by tomorrow or Saturday and check it out. MSRP was $225,000. Black with a light colored interior combined with black carpeting on the floors. 3D sound system, night vision, fully reclining backseats with monitors, HUD, etc. Looks like brand new.

Sounds like a nice car. Any thoughts on it being pre-facelift given your S560?

I mean, there isn't really such a thing as a 'Maybach'... not anymore. It's just a re-badged, and slightly pimped-up S class.
If you really want the V12, just buy the 'Maybach S680' and swap out the exterior trim pieces aftermarket. Then boom, V12 S class

No thoughts really. The entire W222 lineup for its entire run was terrific. I like the stalk control for the adaptive cruise rather than the 3 steps needed on the post face-lift. 1) press a button to turn on the cruise system, 2) press another button to set the speed, 3) then another button to set the trailing distance, all which requires looking down and finding the buttons. With the stalk, the cruise system is always ready and just by tactile sense I can do the other steps without looking down. This stalk has been on MB cars for decades and they ruined what was already just fine. Kinda like the door handles, they were perfect on the previous generations and then they just had to copy Tesla and messed it all up.
