Had my 2021 (13K) miles in to have the thermostat replaced.
Tech did a walk around and sent me a video of the tires (Hankook). I am not sure exactly what the issue is.
I would love some opinions on this. Should I be alarmed or are they just trying to sell me new tires?
Any insight would be appreciated.
Good morning. They look fine to me, they may be trying to take you for a ride. If you have a Discount Tire in your area I'd suggest them, not that you need new meat though.
If you can see the wear bars that goes perpendicular to the tire tread which is at 3/10th inch depth required for replacement, you are about halfway there. I would replace them by winter

+1 My 2020 S required front Pirelli P Zero tires replaced at about the same mileage. Uneven wear required alignment.
I had my check engine light coming on they "fixed" it but light kept coming back finally found the right code reported and replaced the thermostat. It took over a week. Supply chain problem and then it took 2 days to complete, one day to take apart and one day to reassemble! Thank God it was under warranty. In the "old days" I could replace one in an hour, if I remembered to get a gasket when I picked up the part. Got to love German engineers.

I’m curious why a W223 needs a thermostat replacement and if he has a V8 or I6. The reason why I ask is that I get whiffs of coolant after shutdown and I only have 2k miles. I got the same whiffs in my GLE at around the same mileage, which had the same engine as my S class. I know getting whiffs of coolant in my Audi usually meant the thermostat or water pump was about to die…
