Everything old is NEW again…….
Well, I bought myself a 2020 S560. With the imminent repurchase of my 2022 S580, which should happen anytime now, I needed something to drive and I found it. I had been searching the online sources for my “dream” car, when I saw this S560 pop up at Fletcher Jones, which is about three miles from my home. With only 8,800 miles on it, the right color combination and a very late “in service” date of April of 2021, I snapped it up. This gives me until April of 2025 with the original warranty and then another year & unlimited mileage of CPO warranty after that. It certainly isn’t my dream car—with the standard interior & AirMatic suspension—but driving it around today, I felt like I had come home after a long, difficult journey. This car feels SO much better to me already. It feels RIGHT, where most everything about my S580 felt wrong.
Being that this car is an AMG Line, it has 19” wheels, with the original run flat tires. I’m going to find a set of 18’s and get a set of non-run flats, while I search for my perfectly equipped S560. I’ll keep the original wheels & tires for when I sell this car.
Looks like my garage will remain 100% Mercedes-Benz for at least another few years.

Congrats! Get yourself a set of Pirelli PZero All Season Plus on those wheels (non runflat) or Continental DWS 06+ and it will ride like a dream. Mine on those tires and the same wheels rides 95%+ as well as that i7 I drove the other day.

2023 GLE450, 2021 E350 / Used to drive: 2019 E300, 2021 + 2020 GLE350, 2019 E450 Wagon(s), 2017 E300
Very well done - the real score is the late in service date. You have a ton of warranty left. Congrats!

If you really wanted to extend the warranty, I believe you can purchase an additional two years of CPO for a total of 3 years; in other words, 7 years and unlimited warranty from the original in-service date. I bought an ML350 that was a year old and added the extended warranty. It was eventually totalled in a crash, but with over 250,000 miles on it, it was still under warranty.

I moved from a '12 S450 to our present unit. (I was stubborn enough to insist on MBC over 4-Maric when I ordered my '18l) Have been thrilled with both. Since I'm 91, I'm not expecting to replace the '18, especially given the trend to,to me, unfriendly and over complicated controls.
I'm extremely lucky that hardly any of the issues you all have been made unhappy about have ever been important or significant to me. I'm just too lazy to worry about all that sxxt. Maybe that's one of the reasons I've reached FOUR score and 11! It has helped that we have had a very good dealer in Cincinnati - through maybe three, four, ownerships.
Wishing everyone the best of luck in satisfying your dreams. (it'll never happen)

That’s not enough, lol… I’ve put 300 miles on my new Tesla in just 2 days. Getting ready for a full PPF in a few days in preparation for long trips and also before harsh weather/winter.

On a side note, when I read 300 miles, oh boy still another 700 miles to go then I realized the beauty of an electric vehicle is there is no break-in procedure? Sure the tires need to wear-in to remove the coating from factory for maximize grip but that only takes a few hundred miles. Brakes maybe?

No, never heard of a break-in period. I could floor a Model S Plaid and get the 1000 hp power output with just 1 mile on the odometer. As for brakes, on average you can do up to 150K miles on a Tesla Model S (or any Tesla) and the brakes are not yet even half done. You barely ever use brakes on a Tesla, even when you push the brakes, the regenerative braking has a lot of brake-power to handle the vehicle and it's optimized to not use the pads unless needed. The only time that brakes would would is when the battery has exactly 100% charge capacity, which causes the regenerative braking to not function, hence the brake pedal would activate the pads instead. Of course, a very hard braking even would also engage the pads.
