Anyway, I will just repeat I know nothing about the BMW products so I will just steer clear.
The B&O Advanced 3D sound system is unique in that the speakers all have their own enclosures and yes, a proper subwoofer and the system has remained as is from 2019 to present.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Hope Audi can keep it that way. B&O has strong reputation around Audi folks.
For the small investment I see, I'd 100% always option my car with 4D or any other high-end sound system with other cars. Music occupies 100% of my time in the car except when someone is riding with me. Worth every penny.

As a side note, aging forking sucks. I used to have fun in these "debates". now I'm just trying to prevent World War 3 But yes in all seriousness, we all live in a world of "wants". We all do not live in a World of needs. We're all extremely lucky and on the same side!
I do have an enemy though. Forking Genesis G90 now is on the B&O side. Fork them!

Also a good read. I agree, Rolls Royce is last place here having heard most but not all systems. Ignore #2. The author was drunk. The Range Rover top end system doesn't belong in this list of properly amazing sound systems.

I do think they were too harsh on the 4D Burmester. To me anyway, it must be one of the best sound systems on the planet in an automobile. I would not be surprised if I walked out of that system and placed it around or ahead of the B&O system on Audi if i heard them back to back. However, the sound profile on the Audis is different than all. It prioritizes high and med frequency clarity and perhaps even overindexes it. The pop out tweeters have that effect and it isn't for everyone's ears.
Also why ignore #2?
I will refrain from sharing my comments about how expensive Bespoke audio is on the Rolls Royce and my thoughts on that system.

I just read through the article now. Great write up. It is interesting they highlighted the Volvo XC90 that I told you about. The option interesting read I found was the Naim option for the Batur spec....$33,533 just for the sound system? crazy!

I know many will mock me for putting Rolls Royce last but I do agree with it as I own it. Maybach/S 4D though is not 8th. It should be in the top 5. Full stop. As far as the article's proffered claim of #1...I've never heard it but I doubt it. In a supercar?

The general consensus for those that have owned the Meridian signature stereo system on the L460 Range Rover is....it's not in the same league as any of the systems here. I admit I haven't heard it but the folks on the Range Rover forums own some serious high end cars so I'm happy to defer to them.
I know many will mock me for putting Rolls Royce last but I do agree with it as I own it.

Yup. And to be clear wrt Meridian. No dedicated enclosures. There is literally nothing special about this system and it's railed by Range Rover owners....I'm all for an open mind but man...

I didn't see signature on the optional packages list, so I just assumed it wasn't the signature sound system. That's disappointing if that was the best they offer.
