I drove an S63 this morning. It had the piano black wood and lots of other goodies. This car has plenty of power and the handling is excellent for a car this size. I know Mercedes rates the car at 518 H.P., but I think it's more like 540 or 550. Someone needs to dyno an S63. I drive an E63 daily, and this thing felt just as fast, plus I the interior is freakin incredible. Sticker on this one was $145k I think. If I didn't just buy my second E63 in six months, I would buy this car forsure.

Is the piano wood standard?? Are those the stock rims as well...How can it go from 127k to 145? I thought the performance package was not yet available.:nix:

The piano wood is not standard. Those are stock wheels, but on the window sticker it says "AMG Package" which includes the wheels, piano wood and no top speed limiter.

Yeah. Those rims are great.

They're 8.5 x 20 ET 43 front, 9.5 x 20 ET 43 rear, AMG style IV. They are available as accessories in Europe but only as part of the S63-030 package in the US. That seems to be so that MB can charge $7,000 for them.

Yeah, Keyes European has two S63's.

Wow, the first thought that ran through my mind when I saw those pics was "poseur"! I see far too many around here and of course, never the real thing.

What on Earth is that chrome strip that runs on the bottom of the door panels. That looks extremely cheap and must come off immediately.

Some of you who have driven the E63 and S63, how different is the exhaust note? I know in the 55s, the S, CLS, and E all have very different characters.. The E63 I've revved up and taken around the block sounds hellacious and I can only hope the S will be the same way. Did it really feel like it had more power than the E?!

Hey Korn -- I missed out ..... went to Keyes this afternoon but they sold both of their S63s -- one yesterday and one this morning
