Asked Noxxin if he would take me for a ride...

I have a thing about meeting stranges from the internet in person. Sorry bro, I'm sure your cool it's just a policy I stick with no matter what.

Why is he on this board? Ive let fellow board members check out my E63 when i first got it.

Sounds reasonable ...if that's what he wants respect it.

Maybe you will meet up at an event. I've meet people at events that are members here.

Which Adam is he talking about? Anyways noxxin, welcome to the AMG club!

Go to USER CP, click on options, and scroll down. There's a box which you can uncheck if you do not wish to receive pms or emails.

As an AMG enthusiast, I would absolutely take any board member for a ride who asked. And the price of my car would really be immaterial, as I'm sure it is in your case. I think this guy simply has a passion for these cars and wants to share in your appreciation for such an incredible auto. That said, you have every right to your opinion and it should be respected. And his post is completely inappropriate and unwarranted. I'd just be careful in your posts that you don't sink down to a level of conversation that begins to make you look as bad as those who try to put you down.

Sure thing. Your car is gorgeous btw and welcome to the board. I've seen a few S63s without the 20" wheels and they make an incredible difference in the overall aggressive stance of that car IMHO. I just signed up to get the new www.autonetmobile.com internet connection for my S55. You should check it out. It hasn't been released yet, but seems like a very cool gadget for an uber saloon. I read about it on one of the tech websites...very cool concept if you use your car much with passengers. It has great implications for the future of nav and some other car functions. I actually wondered why MB didn't include some kind of EVDO or other aircard slot in the new S class...seems like a relatively easy add-on that every one of us would take in a heartbeat for a hefty price.

It's your business who you want to take for a ride. I have had absolute strangers get all huffy when I refuse their request to let them drive my car!! Some people just don't know how to respect others and their property.

not to beat a dead horse but this was taken out of context. please see the entire message exchage below. I think I was pretty helpful with my suggestions and pretty polite with how I let him down on ride along.

thanks peebs I really love the new ride. a wifi automobile internet set up seems pretty cool, I don't have many passengers often except for the wife but it might be nice when checking into hotels on road trips. how far does the signal go? thanks for the info please let me know how it works once you have it.

Noxxin: You are totally justified in your position. Just because we are all enthusiasts, doesn't mean we are stupid. E430 might be the greatest guy in the world, but then again, he might be a poser. (think "moneybagz") You have no way of knowing. An organized meet, or event is one thing, but personally, I think his request is out of line to begin with. When my S63 comes in (early June), I will take the same position you do.

E430: If you have an E63, I can not imagine the dealer you purchased it from would not let you drive an S63, if he has one. And chill on Noxxin. He's been very open and informative with his posts. Thank him for that - don't give him grief.

Just my $.02

I too agree and fully support Noxxin, as we ALL should. To harass someone to the point of them leaving the forum should not be tolerated. It would be nice to see a mechanism that would prohibit it.
While we develop sort of bonds here on the forum we really don't know who's on the other side of the posts. Clearly the way to meet each other and see (and possible ride) in our cars is thru meets which should be encouraged.

What Time is the Barbecue ?

So, Noxxin, what time should we all be at your house tomorrow for the Memorial Day barbecue?

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your stunning new uber-sedan. It looks awesome in black with your tint package. Enjoy !

hey noxxin,

welcome to the board!
I definitely appreciate all your posts!

I joined this forum a couple of years ago, and as you can see I don't have many posts for various reasons.

For one...if I don't have anything of value to add that perhaps someone else can benefit.....then I don't bother!

I recently came back searching for answers...being one of the others also waiting for an ordered S63.

btw...just found out the build completed on 5/25.

Reading this thread was a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!

Although I'm not adding any value to this post...the purpose of this was to say THANKS!

All your posts about your S63 has been very informative!
In addition, thanks for the pics!

His response is nice and proper...

You're a weirdo for posting PM stuff here

Hey folks... I usually don't post in this section, but someone made a referecne to this "stalking" on the off-topic section and felt compelled to chime in.

E430: Get over it. You asked and he said no. What's the big deal. Anyway, posting contents of PM without both parties consent is against TOU (read: instaban).

Noxxin: Did this guy keep asking for rides or was it this one time? Also, the posting PM bit may for you as well in this case.

Everyone else: I hardly think this is stalking or harassmaent. Y'all need a thicker skin.

That said... A simple forum search reveals that E430Tuner does not have an E63. He has (or had) a '99 E430 that he's been trying to sell since '02.

I've been trying to sell an E430 since 2002 as well, but nobody will give me $100k like I ask.

Noxxin, if you receive any further unsavory PMs, please pass us a note.
