My car Is Whining
It sounds like the feedback you get from a radio, except coming from the engine compartment, It just started happening last week never noticed it before then... Doesn't sound like a supercharger noise. but only sounds when in the gas not cruising and it's not power steering. Any ideas?

If it is your ABC accumulator, you will need an entire ABC fluid flush and fill using new filters.
When the accumulator lets go it releases millions if tiny pieces of the rubber diaphragm material into the fluid which as I am sure your aware can wreak havoc on the ABC valve blocks.
You can source accumulators after market at places such as Pelican Parts, etc. Google and you will find them.

Generally you will need a DAS computer to preform the flush in order to Rodeo the car.

Youll need at least 10 liters.

Mine is at 65K miles and know that this may happen to me one day.
There was a post on the w220 forum about a guy with an S600 that "almost" did his own work replacing the pump and where he got a remanufactured pump for about 699.00.
Are you going to do the work yourself? Thanks and hope things turn out!

Let us know what you find, I hope it is not the pump, maybe it's the hose.

I never noticed a difference in ride quality. Just the whining noise then the leak now it's in the garage. I'm about to go look some more today. Hopefully I can come up with something. Now the ABC light is on and the leak seems to have dissapeared... haha but hopefully I'll find it soon! I really wanna drive the car some more before winter comes

ABC ride more comfortable after pump change
I had a strong whine in the car, specifically when cold, and its pitch was rev-dependent. It was stronger up to 3000 revs and it was drowned out at higher revs. When revving up to 2500 revs and then taking the foot off the accelerator it even caused a vibration (reverb) somewhere. It went away completely when I was forced to replace the ABC pump (at €1850 incl. VAT - after a leak occurred) and the drive is now much quieter. I had earlier already replaced all pulleys and bearings.
Before the pump replacement there was no difference between the Comfort and Sport ABC setting (always in Sport setting). Now there is a difference as the suspension is softer when in Comfort. In the Sport setting it is as before.
