Adding any headers will increase and change the sound some. The larger the header (IE long tubes), the sound will get deeper and louder. Removing the rear resonator will add some to the sound, if you are looking for an easy fix.

2010 S63 Kleeman Longtube Headers, Deleted Cats, Weistec ECU Tune
I have a set of Kleemann long tube headers. The resonator and cats are deleted. It is obnoxiously loud, really loud! It scares women and children when I start the car or rev the engine. Ill post a video later

When I had the ecu tuned they removed the codes during the tune so it does not cause the check engine light to come on. It will pass inspection with the cats deleted.
