Question New To Forum & Considering 2013 S63: What Should I Expect?

Greetings fellow owners and members.

As I am currently looking at a very specific 2013 S63 that has essentially everything I want in this car: Exterior and Interior Color and all Options I want (or at least believe I do). I have limited knowledge as an owner of what kind of maintenance issues and or areas of concern for these vehicles. Also if there are any "specific options" I should consider based on experience.
Is this a good year 2013? Between 2012 - 2014 any significant changes/upgrades? Any specific recalls or repairs that must be completed? Particular mileage where things become concerning?
I am currently coming from the BMW world (F01 current and previous E65) and trust me when I say that I know a thing or two about "areas of concern". But I am happy to say that all is currently well but this particular car (W221 S63) is something I have eyeballed and become increasingly interested in.
Thank you in advance for your helpful advice and support.

Make sure and get a good warranty.

ABC suspension issues are common although I haven't experienced any as yet (knock on wood)

Maintenance is pretty high and limited aftermarket options.

From 2011 - 2013 its the same car. 2007 - 2009 had the 6.2L v8 N/A engine. Bit less hp and drank a lot more gas. 2010 looks like 2011-2013 but has the N/A engine.

If the engine has a carbon fiber cover then it has the performance package (P030) which is 564hp and 664lbs/ft of torque. If not it has 536hp and 590lbs/ft of torque.

Thank you for replying! And providing this very helpful info. The P030 is definitely what I want. Would you say most are optioned out/up typically? Or are there "specific options" that make the car that much better to own/drive/experience? I'm definitely looking at CPO cars or at least those that have couple years factory remaining warranty. I just did not want to jump into something that turns into a "nightmare on wheels".

What about 'electrical issues'? I have read that this is one area of concern on various MB's.

Sorry no, this one isn't very active. The W221 section is more active.

There were a lot of options for that car. If I had to buy one again I'd definitely look for one with the Bang and Oulfsen sound system. The harmon kardon is garbage.

Mine came with the distronic plus, night vision, performance package, rear seating package.

I know you can get another package that adds 4 zone climate control and another that can add rear entertainment. There are just so many options to list. Even fold down tables for the rear occupants.

Thank you for that additional feedback. The section you speak of, would that be a place to discuss the AMG variant?

As I ramp up my search efforts in locating my perfect car, is there a "Code List of Options" you can direct me to? Like the Performance Pkg code you referenced above. So as I am sifting through available cars, I can quickly spot the option code/pkg I definitely want! Also how can I see what all interior color options are/were available specifically, DESIGNO for 2013 S63?

Thanks!

The only code I can remember is P030 for the performance package.

The other stuff I really don't know about, sorry.
