Dyno tips for a BiTurbo S63?
Hey guys, I'm considering setting up an apt to have my 2013 S63 dyno'd. Any tips on doing it to get the best reading? Is there a "dyno mode" like my CLS63 had? ESP on or off? Or just throw it in "S" and let her rip?
Thanks |
Take off the engine cover before you go, get there early and bring a fan to put on your engine to cool off the intake before you go. If you are serious, get at tune and put in VP MS109 fuel and take off your filter boxes, or at least remove the filters before you get on the dyno.

Yes dyno mode exists

Nothing wrong with dyoing in "real world" conditions. If you are trying to make the best number your car is capable of on a given day on a given dyno, there are things you can do. Even running tire pressure at maximum vs. lower pressure can change the power recorded by the dyno. If the dyno is a tuning tool to get data, by all means run it the way you will drive it. The OP asked for tips to get the "best reading". The stuff I suggested may only be worth a hp or two, but odds are all of these things will help him get a better #. I don't have a biturbo s63, but the suggestions I made should help get a better # regardless of the car.

Thanks, I'll just leave the filters be to get a more accurate real world reading. I'm Weistec tuned and want to see what it lays.
Anyone know how to access dyno mode on the BiTurbo S63? |
