I've had an M113 4.3 in my SLK for over a year now. running great on MegaSquirt to get around all the adaptation issues with the ECU
currently swapping a 6 speed from a Crossfire into it.

The ONLY manual gearbox for the V12 is the modified BMW gearbox

Hi, really enjoying this build. Can you tell me what flywheel you are using? I have one from a Crossfire and six speed. The gearbox bolts up to my M113 no problem but the V6 flywheel I have is a different bolt pattern.

Ok, so for those playing at home there's two different crank bolt patterns. There was a changeover somewhere around 2005 for the M112 V6. One is a more or less concentric equal spaced 8 bolt pattern and one has 4 bolt holes spaced differently. I'm not sure which one is early and which one is late model,

I just stumbled across this thread while doing research on how to wire a Holley Dominator EFI to fire the coils. Can you guys share how you wired the ignition coils? Has anyone scoped them to determine dwell and required amperage?

LS1 coils make sense but you'll need 16 of them. Some early WRX coils are also an option as they have 4 outputs and internal igniters.
I have also worked out where to get solid flywheels for the M112/M113 and get rid of the dual mass crap. Surprisingly cheap too.

You dont have to use all 16 plugs - I'm only using 8 on my M113 standalone. I believe you can use the stock Mercedes coils as they are just two 2-wire coils using the same 12V signal but separate grounds. My next step is to use stock coils but only wire up one plug to fire.

I believe you are correct. My plan is to wire +12v into pin 2, and then splice pins 1 & 3 into a single wire going to the Holley coil module. Before I do this I will need to put an oscilloscope on a coil to see how much amperage they draw and what the dwell is. I should have that info in a few weeks when I take the car to a dyno for baseline testing.

I have my car running on a standalone transmission controller, but I haven't wired up the Holley ECU yet. I already had the stock injectors characterized so I can set them up in the Holley, and I am going to scope the ignition signals next weekend so I can do the coils, cam, and crank sensors. I still have to build most of the harness too.

I got mine running on the Holley. I'll start tuning it tomorrow. Hopefully I can make it to the track before the end of the season to see if it improved my times.
