We start a new project. Spent some time thinking of this and thought it was time. Engine is S55 AMG M113k V8 Supercharged with 6spd gearbox 716.667 oem clutch kit, f/w. Megasquirt ecu, custom mounts, driveshaft, modified manifolds and sway bar. Will update as I go
That might be an interesting thing then... budget build that sounds like a supercar, with a manual... gonna keep that idea on the back burner for sure.
I know the m137, m275 and m113 use same 722.6xx type transmission. So the 6 speed will bolt up. I'm sure you could drive with it too but will have to be gentle

Yes, but different 722.6xx transmissions have different bell-housings and other external differences. The M275 transmission is rather different - its longer.
Notwithstanding that, a V8 transmission will physically fit a V12. I know because I've tried it.
I'm doing a similar conversion. M113k engine in a 1974 opel manta. Did you wire the ECU yet? Are you going to be firing both spark plugs in each cylinder? I
m looking into a Haltech Elite 2500 ecu with 2 x HPI8 ignitors to fire the coils. I'm also keeping the original transmission

i have decided to use AEM Infinity 508 ECU.
has 8 injector output, DBW, and 8 ignition outputs. using AEM ignitors to fire booth plugs at each cylinder at the same time.
AEM has the 60-2 crank pattern that we need also. wiring is almost done. engine and trans is out of the car. mounts are done.
supercharger is removed to delete the supercharger bypass valve. we wount be needing that.
EGR valves are being blocked off with VRP plates
using stock throttle body (still need to decipher what the 6 cables mean)
using either the stock benz accelerator pedal or nissan 350z pedal.
Seems we're taking a similar approach. I've got a Haltech Elite 2500 ecu. Running 2 ignitors to fire both coils on each plug at the same time. I also have the dual wideband oxygen sensor controller. I have a fixed pulley and will be blanking off the supercharger bypass and running a much large heat exchanger and pump.
I've been working out the wiring for the last month or two and I sent Haltech my wiring diagrams for the pedal and throttle body for the DBW system (diagrams attached).
