Changed ABC Fluid

I have been monitoring my ABC system pressue ( through a carsoft i980 ) After have all accumlators replaced, Return line, Front and Back Large Cell and pulsation Dampner. I noticed my pressure hovered around 180-183 bar at idle. would stay in upper 170s when driving. So I did a fluid flush, by disconnecting the return line and running line to a bucket and pouring fresh fluid in the resevoir.

After completing the procedure I noticed my pressure at idle is 188-191 and barley drops below 180 when cruising around. Car feels better than ever. Very happy, Keep that fluid fresh!

So it was fine before, and is still fine after the flush? Glad you are happy :)

Yes but my pressure has risen 10 bar with in the ABC system. So it brought so life back in the pump. Which leads to my main point is, by doing nothing else but changing my fluid I recieved 7-10 BAR increase with in my abc system. In turn the car feel more planted than ever. Stays very flat when cornering. Handles bumps and road irregularities extremely well.

Very happy.

And ultimately, that's what it's about. I've read, but cannot confirm, that the module programming for the 63 S/CL cars in '07 was different from our pre-'07 55 models, all having ABC. I would love to know: (a) the difference in programming; (b) whether our 55 cars can accept the same programming; and (c) what the operating pressure is.

My guess is the programming raised the operating pressure because the '07 cars are heavier. If that's the case, I'd love to have that on our lighter 55 cars, not that they're necessarily lacking. But an S55 that handles like a 911 or an M3 would be a beautiful thing.

221/216 cars have a very different system, so it's not surprising they changed the programming. New body style, almost everything changes.

I purchased 2 5L cans of the abc fluid from amazon. chf 11s, of the top of my head. I ended up using both cans. I just kept going until the fluid was perfect. Put a new filter in and she was good to go.

I also puchased a 1/2 in hose connector from lowes.

6ft of 1/2in inner diameter clear hose

1 bucket.

The W221 ABC system takes 10 L of Pentosin. Cost $52 per liter at my dealer. Can find it cheaper on most aftermarket websites.
