DIY for removing driver's seat leather?

The AMG emblem fell off my driver's seat. I don't have the emblem as the car was sold that way. Not a huge issue, but I would eventually like to replace it. I've searched, and it was mentioned that the proper way to reattach the emblem is to remove the seat leather from the frame. Does anyone have info on how that's done? I'm assuming it's a PITA due to all the vacuum lines and bladders inside the chair.

I have the same issue.

Also, where would a guy find a replacement AMG seat emblem? One of the tines broke off mine when it pulled out.

I've found them for sale on eBay, but they usually cost ~$150+ for a pair. Pricey for what's essentially a piece of pot metal with the words AMG on it.

I see them from one seller for $65. Pictured w/OE MB box.

My AMG seat badge was c**k eyed. I had the car in for repairs at my local indy shop, and the badge was in the ash tray when I picked it up. I used some Devcon 2 part black black epoxy {plastic welder} to glue it back on. I put the epoxy on the badge, put it in place, then taped it to the seat with blue painters tape over night. It worked great. If you don't want to take the seat cover off, you should try doing what I did. I repaired about a year ago, and it's still on there good and you can't tell it's glued on. Looks perfect.

Thanks hvacdude. I'll probably do that as it's not worth the effort or risk of screwing up some internal component in the chair by removing the leather.

I won't use glue, but thanks for the suggestion.
