07 S65 Battery Light
Hey guys
Before trying to just replace the battery and I mean the one behind the back seat. I was wondering if anyone knew where is a good place to plug up a volt meter and to test the alternator. I know there are some post under a cover next to the battery under the hood. I just don't want to go poking around in there.
I do not want to blow up the Flux Capacitor. 1.21 gigawatts is a hard source of electricity to find.
Thanks
Jim

There should be a large terminal in the right side fuse box area under the hood, go from there to the ground point and it should show you running voltages.
I believe you can use the workshop menu through the dash to display amperage as well, I know it shows voltage. From the main Trip/Mileage screen, key on not running, press the reset button 3 times. Should beep and switch to voltage display, can scroll through the menu. If you start it you should see the voltage jump up.

Ok so I was looking in the right place. Looks like I have a dead alternator. 0 increase In voltage. Looks like we are off to the dealer. Love my warranty no busted knuckles this weekend.
