Why is the A/C button labeled as A/C OFF with an illuminated light, yet the recirc button lights up when it is engaged or ON?

Not in mine. They both have the little red light to indicate when they are engaged, which for the A/C OFF means no drying of the air (and for recirc is self-explanatory). The buttons themselves are illuminated when the car lights are on, and not illuminated when the car lights are off.
